| I don't know if there is even anyone left on Xanga that I started out talking to. It's been a long time. I just finished reading all my posts since I first started my Xanga. A lot has changed and some things are still the same. First off I have lived in Harrisonville since last June. I now work for Red Cross Pharmacy as a pharmacy tech and am back in school at Longview Community College after 25 years. I will graduate in May with my associates degree with one class to finish up with this summer. Then I'm not sure where I am headed. Either to Avila where Jillian will be starting her sophomore year, or to UCM in Warrensburg which is about an hour drive each way for me. I'm still working out the details. Jarrick is now a freshman and stands almost 6'4" and 160. Yep, a long tall bean pole. He is now playing basketball and received the most improved player award this year. Remember, he spent most of his life wrestling. It's baseball season now, but he doesn't take that too seriously. He played football last year, but I'm not sure he will this year. He would rather be announcing than playing. James Ian is a junior and plays football, and is currently playing baseball. Another football injury kept him out of his second year of high school wrestling. He also missed his freshman year with a shoulder injury from football that required surgery. Currently he is back on the pitching mound for the first time since 8th grade. His first game against Raytown he pitched a shut -out, and his 3rd game against Clinton he pitched a shut-out. Not too shabby for not having pitched for 3 years. Jillian is a freshman at Avila University where she is double majoring in radiology and music. She is a college cheerleader and recently went to Disney World for Nationals. She has already made the squad again for next year and is doing good. She is taking voice lessons, but hasn't had the time to perform much this past year. Hopefully she will be able to sing more this summer. Jarrod and his girlfriend Jenny moved to Daluth, MN last spring right before Jillian's graduation. Jarrod thinks it's beautiful up there and would like to stay, but the job situation isn't good and they may be coming back. We'll see. We are back up to 3 dogs and a cat. We still have mac, but Jillian added Cowboy a couple of years ago when her and Tony were still together, and we recently added Gizmo. We still have one of our many kitties, but it is the one Jillian adopted from wal-mart. All the other kitties are gone, with the original momma now living on my parent's farm. We are renting a large victorian style house just off the square in Harrisonville. It would be very nice to have, but it needs many updates and it has too many stairs. No more stairs, I'm ready for an easy to take care of ranch style house till I can get the kids through school and move into my RV. Thats my goal. To live in an RV and move around whenever and wherever I want to roam. Something I've always wanted to do. On the down side, if you have read my posts in the past, you probably know who Tony is. Jillian's boyfriend for quite a while. Tony passed away last March in a boating accident opening day of snagging season. We all miss him and Jillian still struggles with him being gone. Hope everyone is doing ok and have a good weekend. | | |
| Not sure how many of my old friends are still around. I started a new job a year ago, and I have very little time to be on here. Hope everyone is doing great. I would love to hear from any of you. | | |
| Just a brief update. If any of you saw this on the news last night, the local Elks Lodge here in Clinton where I live, collapsed last night during an Elks meeting. There were about 50 people in the building at the time of the collapse. Jillian, James Ian, Jarrick, Tony and I worked up on the square helping in anyway we could till around 2 am this morning. I felt bad that I couldn't help longer, but my back started hurting and the kids got tired, so we went home. There is a link below to read more about it.
